The award for club of the year was a surprise to everyone at the klub not least our klub secretary who has been the architect behind everything we have achieved this year. The level of change and self improvement the klub has achieved in such a short space of time is remarkable and was undoubtedly one of the main reasons for us receiving this award. Now with the support of the klub firmly behind the secretary we will be looking forward to 2012 and trying to retain the esteemed accolade of club of the year!

We presented a cheque and the trophy to Paul Bignell, Secretary of the DARCCK, at the AGM (here's hoping he sends us a picture). We will be putting the winning presentation on this site so all clubs can see what it takes to win this prize. It's judged on how active within itself, the community, the internet, local and national press. How they cater for newcomers as well as the long serving members. What impact it has on the local community, racing, nationals. How it raises monies, what it supports..... anything good we can see within the club is a positive mark for it.
